Summer in a small town...

We live in a small town....where people know each other by name. It's a great place to live. Each year, the carnival week that preceeds the HUGE fireworks display is the first thing on Ellie's agenda. And this year, even Reid was getting in on the action. We love our small town!

We also love Grandma for taking Ellie and Reid on the Ferris Wheel....because Brian and I are too chicken to attempt it. Not height fanatics here.

Ellie stepping up to the plate this year and trying out the slide on her own. I think Brian is probably bannned from it. He took Ellie down and with his size, he got some major momentum going. I think he took out a whole lineup of kids waiting at the bottom of the slide for their turn! We were grateful that Ellie wanted to go on her own this year!

There she is on the yellow slide at the top. She LOVED it. And we loved watching her belly laugh the whole way down.

Ellie met up with a little girl from preschool and rode some rides together. As I said, in a small town, we all know each other.

Ellie and Reid on the helicopters. Reid loved watching his big sister!

More my speed.....the carousel.

Reid was just checking it all out.

The carousel was also more Brian's speed, I guess!

Nothing better than small town America in the summer. Now....off to pick some blackberries for jam!

Carousel.. more my speed too. You would never get me to the top of the ferris wheel or the slide! I wish more then anything that we could move to a small town (preferrably Ohio near my grandparents and other extended family) so my kiddos could experience that "know everyones' name" feel of a town. The security of Dale's job is what keeps us here for now. Someday, maybe.

I am more of a carousel girl myself. Heights and high-speeds are not my idea of a good time. And reading about your small town made me sigh... I WISH we could move to a small town. For now, it remains a future goal...

Hello, and welcome to my page! I am so glad you are here. I am going to try and show you the average life of a 5 year old from my perspective. Mommy and Daddy will help me along the way if I get stuck.

Let me first introduce my family to you. I am Ellie. I am a 6 year old. I live in Ohio with my Mommy, Daddy, little brother Reid, and dog, Sophie. My mommy is a teacher. She teaches nine and ten year olds and loves it. She has been teaching for twelve years. My daddy works with computers. He works hard everyday.

We all love spending time together. I have wonderful grandparents and a terrific extended family. I am a very lucky girl. Thank you for visiting my page. Write to me any time. I love getting mail!!!

Many blessing to you all.

Love,
Little Ski (Ellie)

Told ya, my hair can be wild! And you thought I was kidding!

Hmmm, Blue's Brother's perhaps?
