I realize it's not Valentine's Day!

My mom really isn't that out of it. Reid is wearing his Valentine's bib because it is super absorbant...and Reid is a slobber fountain! Anyway....NO MORE NAM! Reid is just being taped until surgery...because the lip is in alignment for surgery. WOW! You can see the lip is in good placement and ready for surgery day...May 27.

Reid is happy about no more NAM! We are using it to feed still. We stick it in like a retainer...and he takes a bottle with it. I don't know how we will feed with an open palate. He likes his palate closed up...he is so used to it. We are going to need big advice when that day comes! He is well, though. We are happy!

A Sunday spent outside...

Here I am...just digging through the mulch with my fingers and toes. I love being outside with no shoes on. It's just great!

Just feeling the cool breeze across my face. Mommy told me she used to love to do this, too.

Smelling the Dogwood tree. It doesn't really smell...but it looks like it should!

"Here Mommy....I picked this flower for you!!!"

"Oops...I guess I wasn't supossed to pick the bulb up with it....sorry!"

My day with Grandma and Pappy....

Here I am with my Pap Pap. Just swinging and snuggling with him. I love my Pap Pap.
I spent the day with Grandma and Pappy on Friday when Mommy, Daddy, and Reid went to the hospital for Reid's adjustment. I had a great time...and wanted to show you some of the highlights from my day. Thanks for taking such good care of me. I love you!

Here I am washing rocks for the garden. I love to be messy...but these gloves that Grandma gave me were pretty neat!
Just daydreaming.....
We went to lunch at Burger King and I got to play there after I ate my lunch. It was lots of fun!
We went to a friend's house of my Grandma and Pappy who has horses. That was really neat. I may get to ride one next time I go. This one was my favorite. I think her name was Heaven.

After a long day....I fell fast asleep on the couch. I had a great day. Thanks for a great day!

I saw Diego!!!! The REAL one!

Here I am getting in the van. Mommy and Daddy and I were heading out to go see Diego and Dora for REAL! We were heading to Clevaland for the show...but we had to drop Reid off at Grandma and Grandpa's first.

Roar Roar!!!! This is my baby Jaguar mask for the show!

Here I am......where is Diego? I am ready to see him!

It was a FANTASTIC show. I loved every minute of it. Here I am pretty sleepy sitting on Daddy's lap waiting for my food at Hard Rock Cafe in Clevaland. It was a fun place to eat at, and they had good cheeseburgers!

Then, we walked around the mall that is attached to the Hard Rock. I had fun watching the fountain. Then, we left for home...and I was asleep before we got on the highway. Thanks for a fun day, Mommy and Daddy.

Monkey See....Monkey Do!

Here I am in my room laying on my bed sharing it with Reid. He likes to do whatever I do. So, I started pulling up my legs...and he watched me a few times...and then, he copied me! Mommy ran and got her camera just in time to catch Reid doing just what his big sister does! For now that's ok....I may not like it in a few years.

Bubble Fun with Grandma...

Here I am with my new haircut blowing bubbles with Grandma. I was such a good girl while getting my haircut today that Mommy got me some new bubbles to play outside with. Yipppee!

"I'll catch them, Grandma!"

Time for the Summer Haircut!

Here is the before shot....my hair needed cut in a bad way!

Here is Tina performing her "magic" on me! She even lets me squirt her with the squirt bottle! She is sooo nice to me!

Getting it all evened up!

Tah-Dah! All done....I am ready for summer now!

My favorite things....

I LOVE playing outside on my swingset. I am excited because this year, I can climb up the climbing wall all by myself! I am getting pretty brave!

Here I am climbing...and Grandpa is on the other side of the playset waiting for me. Grandpa and Grandma took care of me when Mommy, Daddy, and Reid went to the hopsital last night for Reid's adjustment.

Well, I made it up the wall...now time to slide on down the slide!

Reid with Grandpa after his adjustment. He always is chewing on something. I think he was hungry....AGAIN!

***thanks Grandma for taking these great pictures! Love you!

Where is Ellie?

It's Ellie's mom...again! Just a quick story for you....I took Reid up to nap today and also grabbed a few things while I was upstairs to bring down with me. Meanwhile, little Ellie was to be gathering books for us to read before her nap time. I came downstairs and didn't see her anywhere. Great. The front door was open...and I thought she had escaped. She loves to be outside. I looked outside for her and called her name repeatedly. No Ellie. I decided to go back inside and look a little harder. There was a short stack of books that she was wanting to read...but no Ellie. I was starting to get a little worried. I looked harder...and here is what I found. Ellie conked out on our bed with her beloved sippy cup next to her. She had helped herself to our bed...pulled down the covers....arranged the pillows...fell asleep all within no more than 5 minutes time. This weather sure does wear them out! What a sweetie. I guess we will save the stack of books for tonight.

Picnic weather....

Reid outside enjoying the beautiful weather! He loves it!

I am eating my lunch outside. Mommy said I could because it is so nice out today. Reid wants to eat along with me, but Mommy said we have to wait awhile. He sure enjoys watchig everything I do. He loves me lots.

Here's what you do with a clean window....

Mommy is inside...and I am outside cleaning the glass door. That's a 3 year old's job.

Mommy told me not to do this....so here I am doing it! Again, part of being a three year old.

Reid's Prayer Chain....

Here I am with the prayer chain for Reid.

It's Ellie, finally! I got the computer back from my mom! Mommy and I made a prayer chain for Reid today. We made a paper chain out of 34 paper rings. I made it all myself....except Mommy did the cutting for me. We have one ring for every day until Reid's surgery. I will take one away each day until surgery day for Reid...and then Mommy told me that he will have his new lip just like mine! I am excited for that. Isn't my chain neat???

Our Weekly Rainbow Trip....

It's Ellie's mom....again! Here are some pictures from our trip to the hospital with Reid this week. Just thought I would share some from this journey we are on! This is Reid looking out the window in the car. Hey, it's better than crying!

Daddy and Reid in the examining room that we have gotten to know all too well.

Mommy trying to pass the time and keep Reid happy while the NAM is being adjusted.

Reid and Linda, one of our favorite nurses. She is outstanding....and we love her dearly.

Reid.....so sweet waiting for his NAM to be put back in his mouth. His lip is in alignment for surgery. Just 5 more weeks until surgery day. We are anxious and nervous. What a change it will be for all of us. We are so blessed by this little guy.

Thanks, Steph for reminding me!

It's Ellie's mom again! I know that I should turn the computer over to Ellie...and I will soon, but I had to post this. A good friend and co worker of mine reminded me of this picture. This is when Ellie was 7 months old, and I LOVE her in this hat. Just too cute. Steph, my friend, said that Ellie and Reid have traits that are alike.....the eyes....and she wanted to compare these pics. So, thanks, Steph for reminding me about this one! It's fun to go back and look at these pictures from when Ellie was little. It doesn't seem possible that she will be 4 this Fall. Crazy how fast time has gone! Anyway...enjoy the pictures! (and thanks for the card, Steph....you are WONDERFUL!)

Ellie-Belly at 7 months. Love that tongue sticking out! What a pumpkin!

Reid at 5 1/2 months. Love that hat, too...and the lovely drool down the front of his shirt!

Too nice to be inside...

It's Ellie's mom again today...I got some good Ellie pics this morning.

Sweet Ellie being silly and enjoying the beautiful weather this morning.

She is telling me a story that she is making up as she goes. Her imagination never quits.

My Ellie. Love that dimple.

You have to have a sucker to enjoy while being outside, right?

Do they look alike at all???? You decide!

It's Ellie's mom for a minute....
Here is Reid at 5 months. Just comparing Ellie and his pics. I always enjoy seeing if there are some similarities between the two kiddos.

Here is serious Ellie at 5 months. Do you see a resemblance? Look at those cheekers! Love to smooch them!

Watch out Rachael Ray...Ellie's on her way!

Time to make Banana Bread! First, you must cut up the butter, because it's really important to use a knife and cut up something while cooking. Always.

Add some sugar next.

2 eggs please. I like to crack them myself. So what if half the yoke goes on the counter, and the shell goes in the batter??? That's all a part of cooking!

Now, make some silly faces while the bread is baking. It makes the time go faster!

Then, when the loaves are cooling and Mommy is changing Reid's diaper...bring in some pine cones from outside to sit right on the counter next to the bread to make it look pretty. Mommy didn't think they were too pretty when she saw them....but what does she know? I was decorating the counter!!! All a part of being 3!
Hello, and welcome to my page! I am so glad you are here. I am going to try and show you the average life of a 5 year old from my perspective. Mommy and Daddy will help me along the way if I get stuck.
