Reid's NAM device- Week 1

Here we are...It's Ellie's mommy posting today. Reid got his NAM device put in yesterday afternoon...and is really having a hard time with it. He is fussy and just has not figured out what all this is about. He stopped gagging thank goodness....that was not fun. He was gagging and throwing up all last night. He could not get used to it. Today...that has stopped. He is not able to rest well. He is a tummy sleeper...and with this in his mouth, he bumps it and gets mad, and wakes up frequently. We were up most of the night last night. We pray that this will get better soon. The doctors told us that the first week is pretty much a week of crying and misery for all. Let's hope we can all hang in there and take one day at a time. It is hard to see your baby in pain or discomfort. Keep us in prayer....we thank you!!!! I will post again soon!

Reid's NAM is much more intense than Ian's. I need to take some front pictures for everyone to see. Reid looks like he's a very happy boy. As far as advice, the best I can give is to be patient. Supposedly using the NAM is the most difficult part, or this is what I've heard from other parents. If Ian is very fussy, I let him suck on my finger. He tries to get his in there, but like Reid, can't always make it work. Ian eats really well with his NAM, so I have no advice for that issue. Good luck with everything and know that you are not alone!

Hello, and welcome to my page! I am so glad you are here. I am going to try and show you the average life of a 5 year old from my perspective. Mommy and Daddy will help me along the way if I get stuck.

Let me first introduce my family to you. I am Ellie. I am a 6 year old. I live in Ohio with my Mommy, Daddy, little brother Reid, and dog, Sophie. My mommy is a teacher. She teaches nine and ten year olds and loves it. She has been teaching for twelve years. My daddy works with computers. He works hard everyday.

We all love spending time together. I have wonderful grandparents and a terrific extended family. I am a very lucky girl. Thank you for visiting my page. Write to me any time. I love getting mail!!!

Many blessing to you all.

Love,
Little Ski (Ellie)
