Reid's NAM- Week 2

Well, here I sit....pretty exhausted actually. I am pretty much spent. You know those days???? Reid is just not sleeping with the NAM well, at all. It is because he was a tummy sleeper and now is forced to sleep on his back because of the device. So, any of you NAM moms out there have any words of wisdom for me....Please, let me know! Seriously. Reid is up at least every 2 hours at night...sometimes more. He just wants to lay on my shoulder in that upward position. I know his ears are ok....had them checked. I just think he wants to be on his belly. Not an easy transition. He is getting used to the NAM fairly well other than sleeping. He does hate having the tape changed daily...but I can't fault him for this. He was measured at his appointment from his palate to his lip with a measurement of 25 mm. We hope to decrease this number week by week so he can have surgery in May as planned. The taping is hopefully doing it's job! Any advice that you parents of cleft kids can give me would be great. I just feel exhausted....and to think...we have many, many more weeks ahead. Keep us in prayer.

Introduced Reid on Rachel's Journey this afternoon, and asked for prayers on your behalf. Rachel has a pretty big following of prayer warriors, so watch out!!

Hello, and welcome to my page! I am so glad you are here. I am going to try and show you the average life of a 5 year old from my perspective. Mommy and Daddy will help me along the way if I get stuck.

Let me first introduce my family to you. I am Ellie. I am a 6 year old. I live in Ohio with my Mommy, Daddy, little brother Reid, and dog, Sophie. My mommy is a teacher. She teaches nine and ten year olds and loves it. She has been teaching for twelve years. My daddy works with computers. He works hard everyday.

We all love spending time together. I have wonderful grandparents and a terrific extended family. I am a very lucky girl. Thank you for visiting my page. Write to me any time. I love getting mail!!!

Many blessing to you all.

Love,
Little Ski (Ellie)

Told ya, my hair can be wild! And you thought I was kidding!

Hmmm, Blue's Brother's perhaps?
