Ellie's mom here today!
See those stents in his nose? They are clear...but visible to see. Not fun!
Sweet boy who has put up with a lot in 7 months.
Well, we are dealing with the stents....and not liking them any more, but dealing with them. These pictures show Reid's nose being pushed upward by the stents. This is their job. They are helping to create more skin under the nose so Reid's nose won't be broad and flat like many cleft kids have. We have a post op appointment Wednesday and we will see what the next step it. They may stitch them in.....we'll see. Thanks for keeping us in thought...and letting me vent it all out. I appreciate you all being my sounding board. You are a wonderful group of friends to have!
Our site is here to show our daily adventures with our 6 year old daughter and our 3 year old son. We are glad you are here! Welcome!

Hello, and welcome to my page! I am so glad you are here. I am going to try and show you the average life of a 5 year old from my perspective. Mommy and Daddy will help me along the way if I get stuck.
Let me first introduce my family to you. I am Ellie. I am a 6 year old. I live in Ohio with my Mommy, Daddy, little brother Reid, and dog, Sophie. My mommy is a teacher. She teaches nine and ten year olds and loves it. She has been teaching for twelve years. My daddy works with computers. He works hard everyday.
We all love spending time together. I have wonderful grandparents and a terrific extended family. I am a very lucky girl. Thank you for visiting my page. Write to me any time. I love getting mail!!!
Many blessing to you all.
Love,
Little Ski (Ellie)

Since we are following your footsteps, we don't have any advise, but if it is at all encouraging, You have one of the Cutest boys ever. Reid is such a charm. We will continue our prayers for you all.
He looks so good! What a handsome guy! He does look like he enjoys being outside. Ellie is a cutie too! Hard to make the other child feel special. They see us spending extra time with the little one and feel left out! Although Reid and Makenna would give up this cleft attention in a heartbeat!
Take care!
God Bless
Tina
Ellie & Reid look so cute in these pictures. The kids looks like they are enjoying themselves outside. I love those rosy cheeks of Ellie, and Reid looks so boyish! I'm so sorry Reid hates his stints so bad! I hope on Wednesday the doctor can give good advice and improve the situation.
Love....Grandma Leatherman
Hang in there, Shemenski family. I truly hope you get some advise from the doctor on how to make you lives run a little smoother. Reid looks pretty content being outside and I'm with him....the sunshine makes me feel good too!!
