Another before pic....here is the main kitchen area and the hallway leading to our 1/2 bath and laundry area (straight on).
Here is our entranceway into the house with the same flooring. All of this will be replaced.
Subfloor.....and no more linoleum. Step one....oh, and by the way....the kids can't be on any of this. Makes for an interesting evening. I have been camping out with the kids at my parent's house for the past 2 nights (thanks Mom and Dad!) because I haven't had school with the MASSIVE snow that we have here. It's always something, isn't it???
Bare bones....getting ready for the tile to be laid.
WE HAVE TILE!!!!! Well, some at least. Getting there little by little.
Looking nice.....not complete with the grout yet. That will be tomorrow's job. Notice, no appliances in our kitchen.....that's because....
THEY ARE IN OUR LIVING ROOM!!!!! I think Brian is contemplating keeping the fridge in the living room.....he likes this feature of not getting up to grab a snack. I have informed him that we ARE moving the appliances back. I am anxious to get my kitchen and living room back to normal. What a week it has been.....more updates to come later. Now you see why I have not updated the blog in awhile. My head is still spinning! More updates to come soon.......

Renovations are never fun, but worth it all in the end. Your fridge in the living room made me laugh because mine looked like that exactly one year ago this weekend. I had a 9 and 3 1/2 yr old and was one month away from delivery. Not fun. And I even have those ABC magnets on my fridge so that could have easily been my fridge in my living room. Can't wait to see the finished product.
Hi Janeen! Your tile looks GORGEOUS! we just finished our kitchen and posted plenty of pics on our blog too. I feel your pain with wanting your kitchen back together... GREAT JOB!-Kara
Didn't know you were taking on such a big project. It will be worth it in the end...and hey, what else is there to do during a snowstorm in Ohio?
