Big Speech Day Wednesday

Well, we are heading to Cleveland in the morning for Reid's first speech therapy appointment. I am curious what they think. I am pretty impressed with Reid's speech so far. He tries many words and tries to mimic constantly. Wish us luck as we start this new process in our ever-changing journey! I'll keep you all posted! Until then...here is a list of what you will hear Reid say if you ever would visit our house.....here goes!

Reid's favorite words
MaMa
Night Night
DaDa Bumblebee (hilarious)
Ellie (pronounced Ella)
Yellow (only been heard by the sitter so far)
Baby
Meow Meow (for cat)
Woo Woo (dog)
Mmmmm (when eating)
Baaaa
Grandma
Moooo
Puppy
More (also signs)
Mommy
Please (signs)
Daddy
Uh-oh
Pappy
Cracker
Neeno (babysitter)
Cookie
Down
On
Row (from Row Row Row your boat)
Off
Hey, Baby (yes, he really says this)
and lots of grunting when we can't figure out what he wants!!!!! I am impressed by his list so far.....are you????

He also knows most body parts and can point to them and can hum the tune to Row Row Row your Boat, Twinkle Twinkle, and the ABC's.....not too shabby for an 18 month old! I pray he talks tomorrow!

WOW, I am impressed. My 14 month old can say only maybe 5 words: mama, dada, og og (dog), uh-oh, and bubus (word for brother). I know once he starts talking it will flow like crazy. I don't see any issues with his speech but will be interesting to hear what they have to say. And like you said, hopefully he will cooperate and talk for them.

That is great that he says so much! Drew still mainly uses the "m" and "b" sounds for everything. He just hasn't figured out how to do "d" and "n" and the other sounds that require tonge movement. So, in my book, it sounds like Reid is doing fabulous!!

Did Reid get the "Hey, Baby" comment from his Dad? Sounds like a MACE line to me:)

Wow!!! I guess I didn't realize Reid was talking so much! That's a HUGE list!! I'll be excited the day Aidan really says Mama. To me. : ) Right now it's usually just a distress call... "Maaaa, Maaaah!!" when he's hungry or mad.

I'll have to go read your newest post to hear how it went!

Hello, and welcome to my page! I am so glad you are here. I am going to try and show you the average life of a 5 year old from my perspective. Mommy and Daddy will help me along the way if I get stuck.

Let me first introduce my family to you. I am Ellie. I am a 6 year old. I live in Ohio with my Mommy, Daddy, little brother Reid, and dog, Sophie. My mommy is a teacher. She teaches nine and ten year olds and loves it. She has been teaching for twelve years. My daddy works with computers. He works hard everyday.

We all love spending time together. I have wonderful grandparents and a terrific extended family. I am a very lucky girl. Thank you for visiting my page. Write to me any time. I love getting mail!!!

Many blessing to you all.

Love,
Little Ski (Ellie)
