This is Makenna from our town. She was born in China with a unilateral cleft lip/palate. She was adopted by the Ferrell Family (http://ferrellfamilyfun.blogspot.com/) in November. She is such a little ham. Her lip was repaired in China, but her palate was not. She just had her palate surgery on Thursday at Shriner's hospital in Chicago, and she is doing great! Keep this little girl and her family close in prayer as they journey home soon. We hope for a fast and positive recovery for her! Hugs to you, Makenna!

Thanks for the prayer plug! We have sure felt the prayers of friends and family. Makenna has sailed through the recovery. Her biggest problems is that she is 2 years old now....she wants to do everything herself! She cannot feed herself or give herself a drink and it does make her angry! She has been over 24 hours with no pain meds and is eating like her old self again! Tonight on the trip home she actually made rasberries with her mouth!! It was great to see she could get enough pressure in the back of her throat to do this!
Reids day is coming quickly! Get those last big mouth kisses in!
God Bless
Tina
